Lae Golf Club is blessed to have some of the finest facilities in Lae, if not Papua New Guinea.
Central to the club is the Clubhouse. With a capacity of over 200, the clubhouse in unique in that the main floor has very few walls. This enables the breezes from the Huon Gulf and the Markham Valley to naturally air condition the club. Within the clubhouse, upstairs has the Main Bar, Bungaraya Café, a Gaming Lounge and Trophy Room. Downstairs hosts the Pro Shop, Members Locker Rooms and the Spa Pua Wellness Centre.
Our second building hosts the Huon Club (Upstairs) and the acclaimed Bungaraya Chinese/Malay Restaurant. Each have their own history in Lae and have been tenants of the Club for many years. The Club’s tennis complex is the home of the Lae Tennis Club. In conjunction with the Tennis Club, the Club plays host to the Panamex Lae Tennis Open and the Lae Tennis Club Corporate Series. Utilising the two fully floodlit hardcourts, tournament play can go late into the cooler nights.
The club also boasts a Basketball Court, Children’s Playground and will soon commission the much anticipated Driving Range. Initially for Members’ use only, it is expected that the Driving Range will open to the general public in early 2024.
